Partnerships, LLPs and sole traders

Whatever the size of your business, and whether it is a partnership, LLP or a sole trade, you will need to prepare accounts, both for tax purposes and for your own information.

It is good discipline to maintain accounts on a regular basis and to present coherent figures to HMRC to avoid tax enquiries.

Management accounts

Dunne & Waterman are able to assist you in accounts preparation in any way you wish, be it preparation of full accounts on an annual or more frequent basis (management accounts), or to carry out a review at the year-end of your own accounts so that we can make suggestions to optimise your tax position.

VAT returns

If your turnover is such that you are required to register for VAT, we are able to deal with your VAT returns and advise you on day to day VAT matters. More often than not VAT can become quite complicated, especially when dealing on an international basis. We are able to explain the rules to you clearly and concisely.

Even for those businesses with a relatively low turnover, it can be advantageous to register for VAT voluntarily. This may enable you to recover VAT on your expenses.
